Lyon County Historical Museum

TUESDAY NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM

Join us on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm at the Museum for talks, discussions, and fun.





August 12: Bill Ballard, president of the Kansas Council of Genealogical Societies, will discuss doing genealogical research.

September 9: Steve Brosemer, will portray John Calhoun, surveyor general and Lecompton Constitution president. Calhoun surveyed the
Kansas-Nebraska territory.

October 14: Karen Epp and Frank Lowery will host a Vietnam War roundtable.

November 11: Rita Scribner, Lyon County Historical Society curator, will talk about Major William H. Mapes, Emporia Civil War hero.


Talks are free of charge and take place
at 7 p.m. at the Lyon County Historical
Museum, 118 East 6th Avenue,
Emporia, Kansas.
