Why Join?
Our country's culture and history is rich beyond imagining. Lyon County, Kansas has contributed it's fair share to this historical wealth. This is a wealth of culture, spirituality, technology, morality, traditions, and knowledge. This is what we seek to preserve. Join.
Every day the staff of the museum and historical society work to preserve the then and the now for the future. We've been doing it since 1937. Join.
Because we need your help, and if everybody helps, even a little, it helps a lot. It takes money and time to preserve the future. Join.
How much does it cost?
It doesn't take much, it costs more to subscribe to a daily paper or buy a pack of gum every other day. If you treat yourself to a candy bar every day, give it up for a year and donate what you would spend, you'll never regret it. Join.

Patron.........................$100 to $499
Sponsor.................................$75
Family (2 or more)......................$40
Individual..............................$25
You'll even be able to write it off of your taxes. Don't try that with a candy bar. Join.
Who should join?
If your children or grandchildren ever asked you who, what, when, where, how, or why. Take care of the place you can take them to and show them the answers. We are that place. Be their hero join.
If you ever wonder about your family tree and how it intertwines with the trees of your neighbors and friends families to form the great forest of humanity. We can help you find answers. Join.
If you have any interest in ecology, genealogy, archeology, paleontology, geology, technology, religion, the economy, astronomy, agronomy, agriculture, aquaculture, or national culture. We can help you find out about it, whatever it is. Join.
